Foxford Vineyard

In 2019, Club Members Nick and Mary Hill purchased a beautiful plot of land on the Blackwater River ford at West Wellow, Hampshire, now home to Foxford, a two hectare 8,500 vine vineyard planted in 2020. They grow Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, collectively known as the classic traditional method sparkling trio.

 

This year they are releasing their first wine from the maiden 2022 harvest, a Classic Cuvée. Join them in the Members’ Bar on the dates above to sample a complimentary glass of their Cuvée and hear more about Foxford Vineyard. Bottles will be available to purchase.

Beautiful Buildings: book talk with author Nick Manning

 

Wednesday 10th December 7.30pm

 

The Wimbledon, Putney and Roehampton area has been graced by fabulous houses, places of worship, sporting venues and other structures during its stellar history. The Beautiful Buildings showcases many of these human treasures, past and present, and tells the story of London’s development and its effect on our local surroundings. The book features Roehampton Club and retells the story of its founding.

 

Nick Manning will present an overview, customised to the area around the Club, and offer copies for sale. All the profits are being donated to the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators and the Wimbledon BookFest.
