Joel Meyerowitz is an award-winning photographer whose work has appeared in over 350 exhibitions around the world. He has an exhibition at Tate Modern up to the end of 2024.
Celebrated as a pioneer of colour photography Meyerowitzwas the only photographer to gain unrestricted access to Ground Zero after 9/11, which produced a body of work that led him to represent the United States at the Venice Biennale for Architecture in 2002.
Meyerowitz will talk about ‘The Gasp Reflex’ – how to create photos that represent yourself plus his collaboration with his wife, writer and artist Maggie Barrett in ‘The Art of Collaboration’.
Joel and Maggie will also talk about the new documentary made about their relationship: Two Strangers Trying Not to Kill Each Other showing at the British Film Institute London Film Festival this October. Not to be missed! Click here to watch the film’s trailer
