Senior Golf News
On 1st January we welcomed male golfers aged 55 – 59 into the Seniors Section and look forward to meeting them during the coming months.
December Grail
This was played on 7th January due to the course being closed in the second half of December. 41 players competed in warm but overcast conditions. The CSS went up to 71.
The top three scores were as follows:
1st Nigel Brown 39 points
2nd Roger Perry 36 points
3rd Ian Taylor-Restell 35 points
January Grail
Sign up will commence on Wednesday 15th January. Please note that you should still enter the competition even if the start sheet is full. This will ensure that your name goes on the waiting list. Intelligent Golf (IG) will automatically allocate a time to you if somebody else drops out and you are next in line.
Winter Knockouts
The deadlines for each round in the Colum Sharkey have been put back by two weeks due to the course being closed for much of December. The third round is now due to be completed on Friday 31st January. Deadlines for the Winter Foursomes have not been changed.
Senior matches
Dates have now been agreed for all our 2020 matches so please sign up in IG if you wish to be considered. All new Seniors plus anybody else who has not played in a match previously needs to join the Senior squad. You should then indicate your availability for each match. Please ask for assistance at Reception if you have any difficulties with the process.
