Rules Reminder

Checking in for courts

Members connected to the WIFI at the Club can self-GPS check in on the MyCourts website.

Members in the Club with their membership cards can use the kiosks by simply tapping their membership cards at the following locations: Clubhouse and Health Club Receptions, Sports Hall, ITC and Banstand. Failing that, Members can also ask Reception to manually check them in.

Not checking in for a court three times within seven days will block Members’ bookings rights. GPS range shown in image.

Storm policy

Following the thunderstorms experienced earlier this week, we would like to remind Members of the following policy:

All outdoor areas of the Club including all outdoor sports and the outdoor swimming pool will be closed at the onset or evidence of thunder and lightning. These areas will remain closed until at least 30 minutes has elapsed after the last lightning flash or clap of thunder.

General Supervision of Children

Please make sure that children are supervised at all times for their own safety. We have recently experienced a number of young children left unsupervised around the golf course and the garden pond.

Please do not sit or play on any grass areas near the golf course – especially near the Indoor Tennis Centre (ITC) Court One or the ninth green of the golf course. Non golfers and children are not permitted on any area of the golf course at any time.

Families may relax together around the Outdoor Pool, the Piazza Pavilion, the playground, on the Bandstand Lawn and gardens, and the Lime Tree Lawn synthetic grass to the side of the Clubhouse.

Member Code of Conduct

Members are expected to be considerate at all times to other Members, guests, visitors and staff while on club premises, when communicating with them in any form and are expected not to offend by either behaviour, conduct, language or dress.

Guidelines for working around the Club

Members may work quietly with mobile devices in the Reading Room, Bandstand, Juice Bar and Piano Bar when not being used for Club activities. Phone calls or online meetings are not permitted.

Phone calls when working should only be made in the Bandstand. Members should always work quietly respecting the privacy of others.

To maximise space in the Club Café please refrain from working at the tables between 12pm to 2.30pm weekdays and between 8am and 2.30pm at weekends.

Members, their children, and guests are required at all times to use electronic devices in a manner that is unobtrusive, silent, and compatible with the peaceful enjoyment of the Club premises by all other users, particularly with regard to noise. Mobile phones and other electronic devices may only be used for making or receiving calls in the changing rooms, bandstand or car parks and should be switched to silent ring and message received mode at all times so as not to disturb other Club users.

Members are requested to comply without dispute with the instructions of staff charged with the interpretation and enforcement of this Rule.

Photography at the Club – including mobile phones

The use of any electronic device as a video or still camera is strictly forbidden. Any Member or guest wishing to use photographic, film or video equipment on the Club premises must register their intent with the Duty Manager. Members are requested to comply without dispute with the instructions of staff charged with the interpretation and enforcement of this Rule.

Golf Guest Policy

All anonymous bookings will be removed three days before the day of golf.
When blocking slots for Club Knockout matches, please mark remaining slots as a ‘Guest’ named ‘Section Knockout’.

Changing Room Locker Use

Please place all valuables in a locker. Daily lockers are available in the Clubhouse upon payment of a refundable fee. Overnight use is not permitted. Personal items left in the lockers are left at the owners’ risk.

As the changing rooms are cleaned overnight it is not acceptable for Members and Guests to leave golf bags, tennis bags or other items on top of the lockers or to leave clothes outside lockers for long periods of time.

Bags or belongings left outside locker or clothes left hanging for a week or longer will be removed and treated as Lost Property. Please contact Reception for the collection of personal property.

Swimming Pool Etiquette

All parents must ensure the below Health Club swimming pool rules are followed at all times when children are using the swimming pools, either their own or child guests:

◊ All children aged under four must wear a swim nappy at all times.
◊ Swim nappies must be covered by an appropriate costume to prevent any leakage.
◊ Please ensure children have used the toilet before swimming.
◊ Only allow your child to swim at least 90 minutes after eating.
◊ Under no circumstances should anyone swim if you have been unwell with diarrhoea in the last 72 hours.
◊ Children should not be naked around the poolside or in the pool at any time.
◊ Nappies should only be changed in the changing rooms.

The Club reserves the right to charge for any disruption caused to Members use of the swimming pools if found to be in breach of the above rules and or failing to report an incident.

If contaminations continue, then a review of young children using the swimming pools may take place.

Cars at the Club

It has been brought to our attention that Members driving cars into the Club are not slowing down or stopping at the main entrance zebra crossing creating a significant hazard to pedestrians. Please slow down and stop to let pedestrians walk safely across the Club entrance.

The Club now has Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) at the main entrance Members’ Car Park taking away the need for Members to swipe their memberships cards on entry. Please register with the team at the Security Gatehouse.

Please park carefully and with courtesy to fellow Members. CCTV is in operation throughout the car parks and Members must remember to report any accidents, car scratches or bumps to the Security Team in the Gatehouse. Thank you for your co-operation.
