Roehampton Community Week from 5th to 11th July is a new community-led initiative to deliver a series of projects to improve the local area. The Alton Estate in Roehampton has particularly suffered over the last year from the effects of the pandemic. The Roehampton Response Network has identified activities on how the Roehampton community can bounce back and Roehampton Club would like to play its part. Club Members already support the wonderful work that Rackets Cubed and the Roehampton Community Boxes have achieved over the last few years.
We have identified the Alton Activity Centre in Ellisfield Drive where the Club’s donation and also staff contributions can make the most impact.
The Board has agreed to donate £13K to fund internal and external improvements plus Club Staff will volunteer to help with activities and projects during the Community Week in early July.
Alan Jenkins and I were pleased to recently present a cheque to Michael Hill of Rackets Cubed and Jonathan Palma of the Roehampton Community Week Team.
