Autumn term
I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer and ready to get back into their tennis routines. However, before we settle into the autumn, Members have just two more weeks to enjoy the Club’s grass courts. The top block of grass courts (19 to 24) will close on 12th September and the bottom block (25-28) a week later 19th September.
The autumn term starts on Monday 6th September and all the following social sessions will restart:

Vets Matchplay
This session has been relaunched and now will include all players over 50. It’s a coach-run session that’s free to attend and will include a warmup followed by some doubles matches with hints and tips. Therefore, if you are a competent player who enjoys doubles matches this session is for you. If you would like to attend, please sign up at Reception.
National Club League Finals
Roehampton Club’s Men’s and Ladies First Teams will be travelling to West Hants Tennis Club in Bournemouth for the National Club League Finals on the 10th, 11th, and 12th September. The Men are looking to defend their title from 2019 and the Ladies also have a chance for the title after qualifying for the Ladies’ event earlier in the summer.
The National Open Finals feature the top eight men’s and women’s teams who have qualified through their respective divisions between April and July. Each of the four National Division winners received direct qualification, while the other four finalists qualified through the National Open play-offs in July. Quarterfinals will take place on Friday 10th with the semi-finals on Saturday 11th September, and the finals scheduled for Sunday 12th. Each match consists of four singles rubbers and two doubles rubbers and will be played on outdoor green clay.

Joe Salisbury – multiple doubles grand slam champion, top five doubles pairs in the world 2019 and 2020
Oli Golding – former World Number Two Junior, beaten players such as Dominic Thiem, US open boys singles champion, former top 300 ATP player
Ed Corrie – former Top 200 ATP singles player, played Wimbledon singles and doubles and made Davis Cup Squad after graduating for US college.
Richard Bloomfield – former top 200 ATP singles and doubles player, played Davis Cup, made semis of ATP singles events

Adam Thornton-Brown – former top 20 UK singles player, multiple British Tour Champions, multiple national champions, UK hitting partner for Venus Williams.

Isa Lacy – top 10 in UK 16&U, played Junior Wimbledon 2021
Pippa Horn – former National Champion and College Player
