Happy new year!
I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas period and is looking forward to getting back on court. The tennis programme is now back in full swing with all coaching and social activities now running again.
Weekend Matches
This weekend will see both the Men’s and Ladies First team play in National Premier League matches. The Ladies play Sutton on Saturday at 1pm, on courts two and three. The Men’s team take on St Georges Hill on Sunday at 9:30am on courts thirteen and fourteen. The standard will be high so please come along and support them.
Wimbledon Ballot
The LTA Members’ Venue Ballot for the Wimbledon Championships 2020 will take place in a few months. If you would like to be entered in the ballot you will need to ‘Opt in’. You can do this in the members’ area of the LTA website at www.lta.org.uk/Members-Area/home/benefits
Please note that the deadline to do this is the 14th February.
Indoor Tennis Centre (ITC) Court Bookings 2020
The ITC booking restriction of 60 minutes per Member will come in from the 17th January. This is to give Members more opportunity to book courts in the Indoor Tennis Centre (ITC). The Club will trial this for a few months from January and review in March 2020. The Airhall court bookings will remain for up to 90 minutes per Member so Members still have the option of booking a longer slot if desired.
‘No Show’ and ‘late cancellation policy’
The new ‘no show’ and ‘late cancellation policy’ is now in place. Therefore, please ensure you cancel any indoor courts at least 12 hours before the intended start time. Also please make sure you ‘check in’ for your court at the check in kiosks at the club. The indoor courts are currently in high demand therefore please only book a court if you intend to use it.
