Wimbledon Ballot
The LTA Members’ Venue Ballot for the Wimbledon Championships 2020 will take place in a few months. If you would like to be entered in the ballot you need to ‘opt in’. You can do this in the members’ area of the LTA site: www.lta.org.uk/Members-Area/home/benefits
Please note that the deadline to do this is the 14th February.
Weekend Matches
This weekend will see the Men’s 1st team take on Putney in their next National Premier League fixture. The match will take place on Sunday 26th January at 10am on courts 13 and 14. Please come and support them.
Australian Open
This week Roehampton Club Member and 1st team player Joe Salisbury is competing in the Men’s Doubles at the Australian Open with his partner Rajeev Ram. In their first-round match they face another former Roehampton Club 1st team player Cameron Norrie and Marton Fucsovics who played in the GANT Championships held at the Club last year. Squash v Tennis Club Night
Continuing from previous years’ success of the Squash v Tennis events the first event this year will be a Squash Club Night where players represent either the squash or tennis section to have fun organised squash matches (singles and doubles) on Tuesday 4th February from 6pm. After the squash, Members will retire to the Piano Bar for food/pancakes. If you are interested in taking part, please contact me.
Pay and play sessions
These sessions provide a mix of coaching and structured match practice against a variety of different players. Please remember that the spaces are limited to twelve. Therefore, please pay at Reception before the session to ensure your place. Below are the sessions that are currently running:
- Monday 10 – 11.30am, coaching session with Dan Lott (£12 per person)
- Tuesday 6.45 – 8am ‘Early Riser’ session with Seb Comotti (£10 per person)
- Friday 10am – 11.30am, coaching session with Jack Hazlewood (£12 per person)
- Saturday 8.30 – 10am coaching session with Stan Fletcher (£12 per person)
