Racquet Director’s Diary

It was great that Roehampton Club could open its tennis courts and golf course again this week. It’s been a long time since lockdown and I’m sure all Members are looking forward to hitting some balls again. The Club’s tennis courts were opened yesterday for singles and one-to-one lessons. However, in order to ensure the Club operates responsibly there have been some operational changes.

◊ Courts will now be bookable from 8am for the following day. (i.e. at 8am on Monday the courts for Tuesday are bookable.)

◊ You can use GPS Check-in for your booking* (if this is not possible please call Reception on 020 8480 4200)

◊ Only singles play will be permitted unless you are from the same household where doubles will be allowed.

◊ Each Member will be limited to three tennis visits per week (this will be reviewed regularly)

◊ Each booking is limited to 90 mins

◊ Players must leave the court five minutes before the end of the booking

◊ Players must use the hand sanitizers at the entrance to each court before and after play.

* To use GPS Check-in, you need to be within 50 metres of the Clubhouse Reception. On your smart phone open the MyCourt bookings page, via the Roehampton Club Members’ website. Click GPS Checking icon. Then allow Location Services and you will be checked in.

Racket restringing

Please drop off your rackets at Security and collect from there once repaired. Payment can be made by card ringing through to Reception.

I’m looking forward to seeing people back on the courts, however this is still a delicate time, and I would like to ask that Members follow all guidelines and don’t hang around or socialise after their game or coaching session. The staff and coaches are trying hard to make sure that Roehampton Club remains a safe place to play.

Thanks for your cooperation and hope to see you on court soon
