PhotoClub
At long last, some signs of some proper winter weather just in time for our upcoming PhotoClub photo review on Thursday 6th February. Since choosing ‘winter’ as the subject for photos for this review we have been subjected to copious amounts of rain and miserable weather. However, hopefully our photographers have managed to be inspired and will be submitting some photos before the submission deadline on 26th January. As I write this on Sunday 19th, a few frosty mornings are forecast and maybe our keen photographers will have taken the opportunity to leap out of bed at sunrise resulting in some stunning photos for the slideshow.
Masterclass lessons have started for this term with our tutor Rob Borgars, who continues to push the boundaries of our knowledge with challenging projects both in class and in the field. Currently we must consider areas that we need to improve and how to address them. Before the end of term in April our project is to demonstrate with a series of pictures how we achieved our objective. School homework memories pale into insignificance!
The Intermediate Classes with tutor Nigel Wilson start in March and will be exploring the techniques of travel photography. These classes have a different approach from the Masterclasses but members of both classes are of a similar standard, so the titles mean little in terms of ability.
We would like to start another class for beginners and improvers and are working hard to find another tutor. Unfortunately, despite approaching several tutors and institutions, without success so far. We do have some prospective members for this class but would be grateful to hear from any other Roehampton Club Members who would like to join in.
