Open Studio
… for Art Group Members
Open Studio gives Art Group members the opportunity on Saturdays and Sundays to paint and draw together. It’s informal, untutored and free to join.
Timing is normally 10am to 1pm. However, all times are subject to availability and, particularly because of the Club refurbishment, some sessions will not take place or will run from 1pm – 4pm – see below.
During the Easter and Summer holidays it is also available on Tuesday mornings from 10am to 1pm. Again, full details of availability are below.
• Tables and easels are available from the easel cupboard. You will need to set these up, take down and put away afterwards.
• Please bring all your own art equipment other than boards and water pots.
• Boards, blocks and water pots are now available from a box in the easel cupboard. So, there’s now no need to open the studio storeroom.
• Please clean up, pack away and return everything you have used to the easel cupboard when you leave.
• When visiting, please call at the Security Gatehouse as you come into the Club to check whether the studio is open, or to have it unlocked.
• If you are the last person to leave, please call at the Security Gatehouse to advise the team and they will arrange to lock up the studio.
• While the sessions are relaxed and friendly, please be aware that some participants may prefer to work in a quieter environment, so if you wish to play music, please use headphones.

Saturdays and Sundays
Saturday and Sunday sessions will take place from 10am – 1pm.
Planned Studio availability for Tuesday 10am – 1pm:
9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th December
Planned Studio availability for Wednesday 10am – 1pm:
24th and 31st December
Please note there will be no planned Studio availability on:
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th February 2026
