Surrey County Golf
More good news: our John Ling team (over 55s, 4BBB team competition), captained by Nigel Brown, is through to the fourth round after winning 5-0 away to Leatherhead. They will be hosting Cranleigh Golf and Country Club in the next round on Monday 4th July. Any Senior Members wishing to be considered for selection should update their availability via the matches section within IG or contact Nigel directly – nak.brown@btinternet.com
Congratulations to Alex Tonge for progressing to the knockout stage of the Surrey County Championship at West Byfleet Golf Club. He unfortunately was defeated in the first round of the round of last 16. This form along with other strong results has earnt Alex a spot to represent the County in a first team match against Sussex at The Nevill Golf Club.
On Wednesday, past Captains Stuart Loggie and Nigel Candelot, played in the Surrey Seniors’ Championships at The Richmond Golf Club. Stuart finished eleventh with Nigel finishing 28th. Well done gentlemen.
