English Women’s Amateur
Annabell Fuller played in the English Women’s Amateur last week. Annabell qualified as the top seed following her two fine rounds in the 36-hole medal phase of the event. She followed a five under par round of 68 at Headingley with a one under par score of 70 at Moortown for a total of 138 (-6). This was fantastic scoring as conditions throughout the event were extremely testing with persistent rainfall.
Annabell continued her fine form to reach the semi-final stage where she faced Kirsten Rudgeley. Annabell was three down with four holes to play but fought back to extend the match into extra holes. Unfortunately, she was defeated on the 21st.
Bel Wardle went on to win the final. We are all extremely proud of Annabell for having reached this stage of the event and wish her all the best for this week as she competes for England in The Women’s Home Internationals being played at Woodhall Spa.
