Health Club Charity Challenge Success – £2,000 raised
From Sunday 24th November – Saturday 30th November our adult swimmers took on the incredible challenge of swimming 100km to raise funds for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney.
Thanks to the dedication of 22 participants, our Members collectively swam an astonishing 127km over the week – an amazing achievement!
Special recognition goes to Rob Whiu, Casual Lifeguard who went above and beyond by swimming an incredible 13km in one go, earning an extra £100 donation for the event. A big shoutout also to Lucy Carter, Deputy Gym and Studios Manager who joined one of the swim classes and contributed an additional 2km, bringing the final total to an impressive 142km.
The swimmers raised a fantastic £884 for the cause.
Meanwhile, on Monday 2nd December, our staff took on the Staff Spinathon, cycling from dawn to dusk to raise funds. Together, they cycled a remarkable 447km—equivalent to cycling all the way to Leeds—and raised an impressive £857!
Thanks to these combined efforts, the Club is topping up the funds to donate a grand total of £2,000 to the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability.
A huge thank you to everyone who swam, cycled, and donated to this worthy cause. Your efforts have truly made a difference!

Sauna and Steam room update
Unfortunately, the sauna is currently closed as the heating unit is faulty and the wood surrounding this unit has charged and become a fire risk. We have arranged for the sauna to be refurbished which we are hoping to commence very soon. We apologise for this and when we have an update on an expected repair date we will ensure you are informed.
The steam room is damaged, with water penetrating the tiles and benches. To redo the grouting the steam room will be closed from Friday 15th November and reopening Monday 18th November.

◊ All children aged under four years old must wear a swim nappy at all times
◊ Only allow your child to swim at least 90 minutes after eating
◊ If your child has had a diarrhoeal illness in the last 72 hours, please do not allow them to swim
◊ In the event of an incident please inform staff immediately as this may reduce the time of the pool being closed
Roehampton Club reserves the right to charge £500 to cover the cost of disinfection of the pool water and disruption to Members following an incident.
Members must also complete an incident form with the Health Club Duty Manager to ensure preventative measures have been followed prior to the incident.
If these preventative measures have not been implemented a fee will be charged.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however this is a necessary action to prevent further pool closures. Please help us to keep your pool open.
