Taking it Home: The Benefits of Virtual Workouts

Social distancing might just be the most buzzworthy phrase of 2020 – and maybe the most discouraging.

Our world has been flipped upside down over so many months, and we have had to quickly rethink any resemblance of what a ‘normal’ routine looks like. Our connection to the community hangs in the balance of social media and online platforms (Roehampton Club Live).

So how can we keep our seven dimensions of wellness (and workout regimen) inspired and intact in a time like this? By staying connected through group fitness and making ourselves a priority.

Whether it is working out from home with virtual fitness classes, or finding ways to keep our extrovertedness intact, the new (wellness) norm is about getting creative with our well-being. This is a good reason why working out and investing in ourselves should be a priority, especially in time of pandemic.

Fitness makes you feel good (FACT).

Even though we aren’t physically sweating side-by-side on the cross trainers or squat racks doesn’t mean we can’t work out together. Roehampton Live offers 300+ virtual classes, on-demand workouts with our team. From the comfort of your home (it’s our new reality), there’s something to be said about strength in numbers, even if you’re streaming solo. By virtually working out with our instructors/trainers, you will feel the benefits of pushing yourself harder, increased endorphins (hello happiness!), and external motivation. Accessing any class at any time with such a wide range to choose from, there is something for EVERYONE. Whenever you get 10-15 minutes to do something, you can choose to do just a little or the whole class. Do not forget something is better than nothing.

Keep your fitness up and stay happy.
Roy Ritson, Personal Trainer
