They say we are approaching ‘drought’ conditions, but as a croquet player the disruption to play might persuade you otherwise!
However, for the custodians of reservoirs, underground storage tanks, and aquifers, the current forecast is for significant rain in the next few weeks much to their relief.
The draws for this year’s competitions have been up in the Pavilion notice boards for a couple of weeks and competitors are booking their matches. Lawns will revert to full size at the beginning of April.
Please do not delay booking your matches.
Coaching
We are currently discussing croquet coaching for this season, and details will be announced when finalised.
One course fixed is a Golf Croquet Referee Course. So, if you aspire to be a GC referee or just want to have a better understanding of the game then let Mike know at mike.pattison@btconnect.com). The course is over two days and runs on 4th and 11th May.
