SECF GC League v Surbiton

Our third match in the SECF GC Handicap League was at home to Surbiton. With the weather fine and sunny, the Roehampton Club players set about their task, with an air of determination.
Some excellent play resulted in the team winning all their matches to run out 9-0 winners. With one more match to play against Ealing, we have won two, lost one.

The picture shows the Roehampton Club Team of Trevor Campbell, Robert Scallon, Sue Tumath and Mike Tumath – well done to them!

General news

1. Three Roehampton Club players took part in events during the Hurlingham AC week. Peter Siddall, Tim Russell, and David Openshaw took part, however none of them came away with the silverware!

2. Mark Green played in the Hamptworth round of the GC C Level and chalked up his third second place finish of the year. He will join Robert Scallon, (also Roehampton Club), in the finals at Ryde in September.

Summer Internal Competitions

Play is progressing well with most competitions up to schedule.
A date for the diary, 26th September, sees an intriguing ‘double-header’, when Tim Russell and Tony Salem play Mark Van Loon and Sam Russell in the semi-finals of the ‘Draw’ and ‘Progress’ of the GC Level Doubles.

Enjoy your croquet!
