Croquet Communique
There are two good reasons why 3rd December will be long remembered.
The first is that the lawns were reopened following a month-long lockdown, and the hardy perennials returned with enthusiasm, undeterred by the possibility of frozen fingers and frost-bitten ears. The lawns looked magnificent and were playing superbly after their enforced rest.
The second good reason is that it was the day the ability to book lawns online became a reality. After much research and testing we have installed a Croquet Booking system. Once logged-in, the booking system is a joy to operate and hopefully will mean that double booking and confusion over timings will be a thing of the past. All current players are on the system and new names can be added. For those without access to the internet or the system Reception will be able to assist.
