Bridge AGM – Monday 16th October, 5pm

A round up of the year’s events and activities, with an opportunity to raise question and meet the new committee. There will be a glass of wine to follow and then we hope many of you will stay on and have dinner together. All are welcome, do come!

Surrey County Ladies Golf Bridge League – Winners again!

Congratulations to the team of Sandra Fox (in photo accepting the trophy), Kate Blake, Claire Martin, Marion Tamblyn, Loulou Van Geuns, Viv Harris, Sally Gesua, Henryka Bonnor- Moris and Wendy Gilbert. Also played -Libby Dand, Marion Kreling and Gunilla Huldt.

Autumn Teaching

A full programme of classes is now underway. If you haven’t signed up for any of the full programmes, you can still sign up for individual classes on a weekly basis. Wednesday morning intermediate classes 10am-12 noon with Niall Igoe. Syllabus on the Bridge Board in Reception.

MCC Mixed Swiss Teams –  Sunday 8th October, 11.15am at Lords

This is a 6 x 7-board match event played in two sessions in Swiss format. Each team of four must comprise at least one gentleman and at least one lady. The event is designed for amateur club players, not international experts or those who play at the very highest levels.

The entrance fee is £140 per team, and this includes a sandwich lunch followed by dessert along with tea and coffee throughout the day.

Roehampton Club has been invited to submit a team, (possibly two teams), for this event so if you are interested, please e-mail me at juliehbacon@outlook.com for further information.
