Match Report – Roehampton vs Queens 9th May

Peter Bonnor-Moris reports:

‘As ever we had a very friendly and enjoyable match against Queens Club and hospitality of the highest order.

The team of the Peter and Henryka Bonnor-Moris, Diane and Malcolm Bricknell, Wendy and Roger Gilbert, Paul Ambrus and Viv Harris managed a convincing victory extending a half time lead of 51 imps to a full time total of 108 imps.

Some very interesting hands produced the unusual result of 5CX + 2, an excellent result for Roehampton Club and the only slam bid of 6C was played and made by Henryka Bonnor-Moris for a score of +1370 giving a net result of +12imps for the team.

Congratulations to the team!

Competition Report – RAC Centenary Cup 15th May

Ron Wood reports:

Our team came third at the RAC Centenary Cup on Monday. There were twelve teams of eight competing, the winners being the Savile Club. We were lucky to score a combined swing of +1770 on one hand with 2H+3 doubled and vulnerable at one table and 4S-2 doubled and vulnerable at the other!

Our team was:

Ron Wood and Philip Howard, Peter and Henryka Bonnor-Moris, Sandra and Gordon Fox, Jeanette Reid and Marion Tamblyn.
