Sunday 23rd October- 1.30pm Annual Swiss Teams Challenge Cup

This is a team of 4 event and is open to teams from other clubs.

Swiss teams competition is a form of teams scoring, which by being scored after each round allows teams with similar scores to play against each other. This means that soon into the competition teams should be playing against players at a similar level to themselves. (that’s the theory).

The completion ends with dinner and prize giving.

Posters are on the notice boards but if you would like further information or wish to reserve a table, please contact Belinda Stone. ( belindadweck@gmail.com).

Handicapped Pairs

On 4th September there is an event that anyone can win.  All pairs will be handicapped based on their average NGS, so all you have to do is beat your own NGS and you could do well.

There are several venues around the country that are holding sessions and all the handicapped scores will be combined into a national list.  For those that are interested in these things, the top third of the national list will be awarded National level Blue master points.

Currently in Surrey there are face-to-face sessions being held at:

Richmond Bridge Club https://www.bridgewebs.com/richmond/

Wimbledon Bridge Club https://www.bridgewebs.com/wimbledon/

and for those that prefer to play online the SCBA is running a session on BBO, more information can be found HERE

For further information please contact the above clubs for the face to face sessions or the SCBA competition Secretary at competitionsecretary.scba@bridgewebs.com  for any queries regarding the online session.
