Entries are invited for the Annual Art Group Exhibition and Sale by Friday 13th October
The annual exhibition for members of the Art Group will take place 14th – 26th November. Now would be a good time to decide on which artworks you wish to enter. If you are taking an art class then do ask your tutor for their advice.
Hand your entry form into Reception by 5pm on Friday 13th October. Rahma and her team are looking forward to seeing you!
Entry and instruction forms can be found under our notice board in Reception, in the Art Studio and can be downloaded from the Art Group page on the Members’ website.
The artwork does not need to be completed and handed in until between 5 and 7pm on Sunday 12th November.
The official opening of the Exhibition and Sale will take place on Tuesday 14th November with a preview and drinks from 6.30 – 7.30pm followed by the Art Group Dinner.
Framing
We are occasionally asked for advice about framing.
Several Members use online framing companies; there are several available; the one I hear used most frequently is easyframe.co.uk
These are good value and arrive within a week. The instructions online are good and tell you how to measure and order. You can even upload an image of your artwork and look at it online with different frames and mounts before deciding what looks right for you. You should bear in mind there is a certain amount of final assembly to do.
Bookings are invited for the Art Group annual Dinner by Tuesday 7th November
The annual Art Group Dinner will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 14th November and is open to all who have prebooked. This event is always fun and very inclusive. You can come as an individual and be seated on a table where you will be made welcome, or book in a group of up to ten. You may also invite guests. A delicious menu is planned.

We invited two of the wonderful professional tutors who teach our art classes to hold their own exhibition and highlight their talents. Go along, admire their work and if you are inspired you can look at how to join one of their classes.
Art Classes – Pay per Class
The autumn term has started and syllabi and materials lists are available as usual on the website or in Reception under the Art Group noticeboard.
The following classes are now available to art group members ‘for pay per class’:
Watercolour, pen and ink and mixed media

Wednesday 10 am–1pm £31 (includes cost of model)

Art Group Membership
From September 2023, Club Members wishing to attend lectures or attend Art classes will have to be Art Group members.
For those joining the Art Group this autumn, the cost for the remainder of the year is £10, reverting to £20 for 2024.
For six lectures, this represents the best value in the Club!
