Autumn Art Classes – book now to avoid disappointment  

Booking is now open for autumn art classes in the Art Studio starting on Monday 19^th September. All classes run for 10 weeks except Life Drawing which has been shortened and will now run for five weeks.

Some of the more popular classes and times are already nearly fully booked with only one or two places left so don’t delay if you want a particular class.

Are you a beginner or keen to get back into art?

If you are new to art or want to get back into it, then now is a good time to join the Beginners and Improvers class on Wednesday afternoons. Kathy Barker’s effective and encouraging teaching style will help you build your drawing skills and your confidence. Materials will be provided free in your first year, and you can look forward to producing a recognisable artwork each week.

There are spaces available in the autumn term in Beginners and Improvers as a few students have decided to graduate onto the specialist classes.

New Life Drawing 5-week course

We have decided to reduce the autumn term Life Drawing classes to five weeks – an easier time commitment for students.  Plus, we have reduced the price to £98 so it’s a great time to try this excellent class.

If you’ve already signed up for Pastels, Life Drawing and/or Acrylic Painting autumn classes, please check the Members’ website for new materials lists for these classes.

Art Studio Stair Lift

The Club has agreed to install a stair lift in the art studio over the summer and the plan is this will be completed before the start of the autumn term!

We know there are general shortages of materials and tradesman and so there is no guarantee on the timetable; but the Club and the contractor are hopeful.

Open Art Studio on Tuesdays

The Club has agreed to open the Art Studio for art group members to use from 10am to 5pm on Tuesdays until term starts again. Please bring your own materials, clear up afterward and, very importantly, turn off the air conditioning when you leave.

Send me your summer artwork

I hope you are enjoying painting and drawing over the summer months. Please email me examples of your work to: artgroup@roehamptonclub.co.uk so I can choose some examples for the Recorder.

Annual Art Exhibition and Sale

Remember to make sure you have completed up to three artworks which you will be happy to enter into the annual Art Exhibition in November. More details will follow.

All classes will break for half term for the week of 24^th to 28^th October.

To book your class, simply visit Reception or call the team on 020 8480 4200 (option 4).  You may pay using your credit/debit card.

Classes are only available to Art Group Members; if you are not a member, you will be asked to join at a reduced cost of £10 for the rest of the year.
