The Art Group is run by Members of the Club who volunteer their time and experience, all for the love of art!
We have just finished the summer term of events and I arranged to send flowers to Sarah and to Sue, on behalf of us all, to thank them for organising our art classes and art lectures. We have had a lot to cope with in the last year and they have been wonderfully dedicated, flexible and good humoured throughout.
I posted the photos on the class WhatsApp groups and the comments include:
– ‘that’s brilliant … Sarah and Sue have done a cracking job … the Art Group has been brilliant this past year … classes, lectures and exhibition’
– ‘thanks to both of you for your hard work and making this a year very special despite all that has been going on’
– ‘many thanks for organising the wonderful lectures and classes … I hope everyone has a great summer and looking forward to seeing everyone back in the art studio in September’

The art studio is open every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm for an Open Art Studio enabling Art Group Members to come along to finish work or make preparatory studies and meet fellow Art Group artists.

– 10 attendees maximum allowed in each session
– Members to check in on arrival at Reception

Our Autumn Art Classes start during the week commencing 20th September 2021 and all Members of the Club are welcome to book a class via Reception.
Whether you’ve not done art since school or are already a keen artist, we have a class which you will enjoy and develop your skills:

Beginners and Improvers Drawing and Painting – the perfect, friendly, confidence-building class, if you’ve not done any art before or your skills are a bit rusty.
Our classes have proved to be incredibly popular. But rather than simply telling you how good they are, you might like to hear directly from some of our students.

– Your choice of class
– Whether or not you are an Art Group member. (If you’re not yet a member of the Art Group, you’ll be asked to join and pay for membership when you book. Membership is £10 for the remainder of the year).
– Your credit card number for payment
