The Art Classes are posting a painting a day from the Class Exhibition onto their WhatsApp groups.
It’s a great way to see our classmates’ art.
Some recent examples from the two acrylics classes include
Sandra Ball – trees in a forest and Robin Whitcomb – we looked at the Art Deco paintings of Polish artist Tamara de Lempicka (lady with skis)

The Summer Term’s art classes are all taking place live online, with Kathy and Charles as our tutors!
All seven classes will run for the five weeks from Wednesday 15th April, on the same dates and times as planned originally.
The classes are interactive, using zoom, allowing everyone to talk with and see each other, whilst getting the benefit of individual instruction and reviews from the tutors.
55 students are taking classes this term with most now full. However, there are a few spaces available for:
Fridays 2-5pm – 17th April to 15th May
Mondays 2-5pm – 21st April to 19th May

The Art Group is run by Members of the club, who volunteer their time, all for the love of art!
Jonathan Collard has been our Treasurer for the last eight years. A fabulous innings. He has decided to retire by the end of this year, so that, among many things, he has more time to paint.

We will find an opportunity to thank Jonathan for his significant contribution to the Art Group later in the year.
In the meantime, we are looking for someone to take Jonathan’s place.
Jonathan has simplified the role enormously. The Club’s finance department produce our accounts and collect the annual subscriptions and class fees. The treasurer attends the Art Group and Finance Committees, some six meetings a year, and makes our payments.
