Entries for the Annual Art Group Exhibition should be submitted by 5pm this Friday the 20th October
There are still a couple of days left for you to hand your entry forms into Reception.
Your artwork does not need to be completed and handed in until between 5 and 7pm on Sunday the 12th November; so you have plenty of time for finishing touches and framing.
Entry and instruction forms can be found under our notice board in Reception, in the Art Studio and can be downloaded from the art pages of the Members website.
Online Framing
There are several online framing companies, the one I hear used most frequently by members is www.easyframe.co.uk These are good value and arrive within a week.
Art Group Dinner and Exhibition Preview
Bookings for the Art Group annual Dinner on Tuesday 14th November should be made soon, there are only a handful of seats left and booking will close early.
The annual Art Group Dinner will take place at 7.45pm for 8pm on Tuesday 14th November and is open to all who have prebooked. This event is always fun and very inclusive. You can come as an individual and be seated on a table where you will be made welcome.

Book a Masterclass ‘Working from Still Life’ with Daisy Drummond from 23rd to 25th October
There are now two sapces on this fantastic three-day intensive Masterclass which will run in the Art Studio from 23rd to 25th October. It will be led by our highly experienced tutor, Daisy Drummond and is suitable for students who already have some experience of drawing, painting in acrylics and/or working in pastels.
You will be working from still life with a choice of autumnal still life subjects provided by Daisy. Daisy will give demonstrations as well as one-to-one teaching.
You will begin by drawing your subject using charcoal, pencil or pen and ink and then move on to colours.
The charge will be £165 and will include a set of charcoal pencils that you can keep and ink for use in the studio.
If you are not already a member of the Art Group, you will need to join in order to attend the Masterclass. This will be £10 for the remainder of 2023.

Art Classes – Pay Per Class
The autumn term has started and syllabi and materials lists are available as usual on the website or in Reception under the Art Group noticeboard.
The following classes are now available to art group members ‘for pay per class’:
Watercolour, pen and ink and mixed media

Life Drawing
Wednesday 10 am–1pm £31 (includes cost of model)
