Booking is now open for autumn term art classes starting on Monday 19th September. All classes run for 10 weeks, except Life Drawing which will now run for five weeks.
Some of the more popular class times are nearly fully booked so don’t delay if you want a particular class.
If you are new to art or want to get back into it, then now is a good time to join the Beginners and Improvers class on Wednesday afternoons.
Kathy Barker’s effective and encouraging teaching style will help you build your drawing skills and your confidence. Materials will be provided free in your first year, and you can look forward to producing a recognisable artwork each week.
After the Club promoted the class last week, we received a number of approaches from timid Members who have not done art since O’levels but wanted to have a go again at ‘drawing and playing with colours’. I am pleased that we now have several brand-new students!
There are still spaces available so do not hesitate to sign up.
The autumn term of Life Drawing classes has been reduced to five weeks – an easier time commitment for students – plus, we have reduced the price to £98 – so it’s a great time to try this excellent class.

Classes are only available to Art Group members; if you are not a member, you’ll be asked to join at a reduced cost of £10 for the rest of the year.
