Chief Executive’s Message

Dear Member,

With August being one of our quieter months we are taking advantage of upgrading tennis courts 15-18 to install four advantage red (smash) clay courts and hopefully they will be completed in early September weather permitting. We will also be installing an outdoor pickleball court between the two Padel tennis courts for Member use.

Member Survey

This policy of continual improvement in our sports facilities is reflected in the Member survey recently sent out on our behalf by GGA Partners.
Please complete the survey by 24th August to give the Board the feedback it seeks to inform its decision-making at its annual development strategy meeting in September.

See here the information from the Chair, Michael Hill’s previous Recorder message on 27th July …

‘The Board of Directors met this month to discuss the Masterplan 2035 and, as promised at the AGM, Members will now be consulted on the direction of travel the Board would like to make over the next three to five years on a number of capital projects.

A survey will be sent out this week by GGA Partners, our strategic consultants, asking for Member feedback by 24th August. It’s a short anonymous survey taking no longer than 10 minutes to complete. The results will be fed back to the Board in time for its annual strategy day on 21st September so please take the time to complete it. A paper version will be available at Reception if you can’t receive the survey online.’

European Legends Tour Pro Am

It was very pleasing to see Members and the European Legends Tour Pros give Peter Bradburn and Head Greenkeeper David Howe a standing ovation for the presentation of the golf course at the Pro Am prize giving. Joint winners Phil Golding and David Shacklady shot 68 and said the greens were the best they had played all year.

Fabulous to hear and another wonderful event raising monies for the Golf Captain’s charities.
