Head Squash Professional
I have been at the Club for 11 years and my 'mission' is to
ensure that as many Members as possible are offered the opportunity
to play, spectate, learn and enjoy the sport that I love.
I have played from a junior at junior club & county level,
continuing to Men's team squash and into coaching, becoming Head
Professional at the Roehampton Club in 2005.
I am always keen to develop my professional learning, training
and qualifications are on going. I believe that, with a supportive
management and committee I have grasped that opportunity, achieving
strong progress and development for the section, Club and
With the Club's encouragement, co-operation and support we now
have a top quality facilities, busy and popular development
programs for juniors through to strong club/county standard and
beyond. I have introduced racketball to encourage
adventure and participation by 'tennis' players and we have
achieved a balance of member-led events and development
competitions that are really beginning to bear fruit, in terms of
additional active members, higher profile, higher quality squash
and increased popularity and court usage.
My aim for the medium term is to build on the progress already
achieved - greater involvement by more of the gregarious sport
minded members, at all levels and all ages - and to raise the
profile of Roehampton Club even higher, in the wider UK squash
community, as a centre for squash excellence.
