JW Cannon in Two Year Squash Sponsorship at Roehampton Club

Award winning builders JW Cannon have signed a two year sports sponsorship deal with the prestigious Roehampton Club to include showcasing the British Squash Professionals Association Grand Prix final.

 

The family-owned building firm, based in Carshalton, Surrey, are also due to start work on the Club's new, state-of-the-art squash court - incorporatingthe revolutionary CourtWall system for singles and doubles play - starting in March.

The sponsorship covers, not only this year's competition, but also the entire 2016 Grand Prix tournament, which runs from September to May 2016, as well as the BSPA London Under23 Open in January, which will all be played on the new Roehampton show court.

"The plans for this new, sixth court, at the club are extremely exciting and will provide us with some of the finest squash facilities in the country. JW Cannon's support also secures continuity for these important BSPA competitions in the squash calendar."

The new court is scheduled to open in September, at the start of the new squash season.  It will be built on the site of the former sixth court and will feature retractable competition seating area for 74 spectators.

JW Cannon, specialist suppliers and installers of bespoke squash courts, are delighted to be working in tandem with the Roehampton Club on the project.

Roehampton Club Head Squash Professional, Paul Lindsay added: "The continued support for these tournaments at Roehampton Club is extremely exciting for the Club and Squash.

"The 27th to 29th May will see Roehampton Club host The JW Cannon GP Finals. Returning and reigning Men's Champion, Daryl Selby, will be keen to retain his title, while competitors including Rex Hedrick, Declan James, Charles Sharpes, Ben Coleman, two others and Tom Richards - who has the added advantage of Roehampton Club being his training base - will all provide strong opposition.

"The Ladies draw sees world number 5, Alison Waters top the seeding, with second seed and world number 15, Madeline Perry keen to provide an upset."

Roehampton Club will stage the JW Cannon London U23 Open in January 2016 and JW Cannon Grand Prix Finals in May 2016.
