On 29 July 2017 Roehampton Club attended the Regnerate Feel Good
Festival where locals enjoyed an afternoon of live music, archery,
football, cream teas and animals on Danebury Avenue Green.
The Roehampton Club stall was manned by Chief Executive Marc
Newey, Personal Trainers Roy Riston and Zuzana Zigalova and Course
and Ground Manager Peter Bradburn who braved the rain while
supporting our local community. The stall offered fun fitness games
and giveaways, which proved very popular with the younger

Roehampton locals who went off to fight in the First World
The festival also welcomed Cllr Ravi Govindia, Leader of the
council; Cllr Steffi Sutters, Cabinet Member for Communications;
the Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Jim Maddan; Roehampton and Putney
Heath ward councillors Sue McKinney and Peter Carpenter; and Putney
MP, Justine Greening.
Roehampton Club was proud to sponsor this event, which has been
running for more than a decade.

Regenerate was formed in 2000 as a Christian faith based charity
who set up and ran projects to serve the community.
In the beginning, the charity focused on organising a lunch club
for isolated, older people in the area. By renting a church hall
and employing a cook, within a few weeks there were 100 regular
After this initial success, projects for young people began to
develop, such as football clubs, dance and homework clubs, minibus
trips out of London, a Juice Bar drop-in youth centre, a music
studio, mentoring schemes and trips for young people to volunteer
in developing countries.
Today Regenerate continues to focus on the estates in and around
Roehampton as well as helping and supporting others who are
initiating similar projects on estates across London.
